Dr. Susan Wlodarczyk named SFVA Inpatient Site Director for Medicine Residency

We are delighted to announce that Dr. Susan Wlodarczyk has been named the San Francisco VA (SFVA) inpatient site director for the internal medicine residency program.  Dr. Wlodarczyk has done a phenomenal job as the interim site director diving with enthusiasm into intern recruitment, as well as, providing vision and profound thought to the role.

Dr. Wlodarczyk graduated from the UCSF School of Medicine in 2011, and completed her UCSF medicine residency training in 2014. After serving as Chief Resident at San Francisco General Hospital for 2014-2015, she joined the SFVA Division of Hospital Medicine, where she has distinguished herself as a superb clinician and educator. 

Dr. Wlodarczyk provides clinical care in a number of settings, including the inpatient medical service, the surgical co-management service, the medicine consult service, and the emergency department. She also serves as a SOM Bridges Course Director for Ground School.  Within all these settings, she is recognized as a superb teacher.  Dr. Wlodarczyk has had a major leadership role at the SFVA, serving as the Assistant Chief of the Medical Service.  She will be stepping down from this role to focus on her new residency leadership position.
